Thomas Williams is a historian of warfare, identity, and power in medieval northern Europe. His books Lost Realms (2022), Viking London (2019) and Viking Britain (2017) are published by William Collins. A former British Museum curator, Thomas has lectured at UCL and the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a Fellow and former Trustee of the Society of Antiquaries of London.
